Ordering a Test with Pre-Test Consulting

At DNA Direct, we want to make sure that you are taking the right test, for the right reasons. And we’ll also tell you if we think testing does not make sense for you. Even if you use our consulting services, there is no obligation to buy a test.

A pre-test consultation is required for Breast & Ovarian Cancer and Infertitity/Recurrent Pregnancy Loss testing. The fee for pre-test consultations is included in the price of testing when you test with DNA Direct. If you choose not to proceed with testing after your consultation, you will be charged only for the consultation.

Ordering a Test Without Pre-Test Consulting

If you know you need a specific genetic test and are ready to order without any pre-test consulting, just click "order now" in the Tests & Prices list below. To ensure you understand your test results, DNA Direct includes 30 minutes of post-test consulting with a board-certified genetic consultant in the price of all medical tests.

*Note: because pre-test counseling is necessary when testing for Breast and Ovarian Cancer Risk, Infertility and Recurrent Pregnancy Loss, after placing your order, you will be instructed to schedule a pre-test consult. This consult is included in your overall fee - there is no extra charge.

Cancellation Policy

If you order any genetic test from DNA Direct, and then change your mind before you have sent your test kit to the testing lab, you may withdraw from the testing process for a re-stocking fee of $50.

You must notify DNA Direct by telephone (1-877-646-0222) or email (expert@dnadirect.com), to cancel your order. Please include your unique Order ID# in your request. Additionally, you must send back your Test Request Form to DNA Direct in the addressed, stamped envelope that has been provided to you.

If you order any genetic test from DNA Direct, and then change your mind after you have sent your test kit to the testing lab, you will be charged the full amount for the test and our services, regardless of whether or not you choose to view your DNA Direct Personalized Report.

Consultation charges are non-refundable. If you have already completed a pre-test genetic counseling session (consultation), you will not be reimbursed for the cost of that service.
